Glitterati Glamour for Agave Spa
So one of my passions is skin care; I am a skin care freak. When i was about 15, I started tagging along to the medi spa's or dermatologists office with my mother. My mother has suffered from skin cancer so I went from California girl always tanning by my pool, to obsessively applying sunscreen and quality products to my skin. I'm not even sure if it started out as a preventative measure for myself. It was more out of respect for my mother, I was going to do everything in my power to prevent going through the same fate. I learned all the best ingredients to look for and started my skin care obsession then. I have my mothers sensitive skin and my fathers acne prone skin as well. I have to be really careful what products I use on my face. Poorly made products will either burn my face, or break me out. Both looks I would like to avoid. Agave Spa products are all natural ingredients, no fillers or chemicals here. When they contacted me asking me to review some products, I was so excited. Read on to see what I thought.

Ingrdient wise, Agave Spa starts out with the natural richness of their main ingredient, the Agave extract. They carefully added a chosen mix of natural ingredients to complement each of their products and to maximize the results, providing a natural antioxidant protection from the environment. Ingredients such as Pearl, Rice, and Silk extracts. Alpine flowers, seeds & fruit oils, Chamomile, Aloe Vera, Hyaluronic acid and Argilerine. They are also Gluten and Cruelty free.

Most importantly, these products are produced without any of the bad stuff. That means:
No Phthalates- These are known to cause a broad range of birth defects and lifelong reproductive problems in laboratory animals that are exposed to these chemicals during pregnancy and after birth. Phthalates are also known to be hormone-mimicking chemicals.
No Parabens- Chemical preservatives that have been identified as estrogenic and disruptive of normal hormone function. Estrogenic chemicals mimic the function of the naturally occurring hormone estrogen. Exposure to external estrogens has been shown to increase the risk of breast cancer.
No Sulfates- Cleaning ingredients that are added to products to make them clean and foam. They’re a known irritant, including eye, skin and scalp irritation. Research has shown that Sulfates can be damaging to the immune system, especially within the skin.

The packaging and customer service of this company is fabulous. They have products varying from their Essentials which include: an exfoliant, a cleansing gel, a tonic lotion, and makeup remover. They have a Sun category including: a sun mist, a sun balm, an agave body scrub, and agave sun block. In their Face line they have: an agave and pearl anti aging cream, agave and pearl anti aging serum, agave brightening facial cream, agave eye contour, and agave facial brightening serum. Last but not least they have a Body line that has: agave body lotion, agave body mystic mist, agave shower gel, and agave special reserve body massage oil.
The 3 products they sent me were the Agave Facial Makeup Remover, Agave Illuminating Facial Cream, and Agave Anti-Aging Face Cream.

You have to mix the makeup remover before applying it on a cotton ball and gently removing eye makeup. It has a pleasant smell that reminds me of being on vacation. Probably why the brand is very popular in luxury vacation resorts around the world. This did the job nicely at removing my makeup. It also didn't irritate my eyes which even sensitive formula products tend to do.

The Anti-Aging and the Illuminating Facial creams are very nice. They absorb very quickly into the skin. I love that these are both all natural so I slather on as much as I want. I almost feel like there is a slight sheen to the Illuminating one that gives a slightly dewy complexion. I think I am too young to really see any results with anti-aging creams.
