I got the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette at the Too Faced Booth of Gen Beauty for Free. This is my first Too Faced product I've ever owned so I didn't know what to expect quality wise. My first impression of this palette obviously was how cutesy the packaging was. The second thing I noticed, which I already knew about the Chocolate Palettes, is the smell of chocolate wafting off it. I guess the shadows have cocoa in them or something. I have used this palette multiple times now to get a clear idea of it before writing this review. I used this to do my makeup one morning before I ate breakfast, and the smell of it smelled so delicious, I was hangry by the time I finished my face. Another adorable feature is that the shadows are in the shape of hearts instead of your typical squares or rectangles. I thought that was a cute touch.
The shadows are a mixture of matte and shimmer. I would say the range of shadows isn't that diverse. It is all very natural shades save for Totally Fetch, Earl Grey, and Black Currant, which are the hot pink, dark teal, and dark purple. The pigmentation on all of these colors, with the exception of Totally Fetch, is very buttery and pigmented. They are very easy to blend which I really appreciate. I also love how they made Divinity, which is the lightest matte shade, and Satin Sheets, the lightest shimmer shade, in larger pans because I always run out of the every day shades before the other pans. Divinity is the perfect color to set your eyeshadow primer with, and Satin Sheets is the perfect brow highlight.
Overall I really like this palette. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some everyday natural shades. Totally Fetch requires lots of building to get it to be the color that shows in pan. You can purchase this palette online for only $49.
