I suffer from massive pores on/around my nose that aren't quite blackheads but are still quite noticeable (to me anyways.) Now unfortunately for me, short of getting lots of strong chemical peels or laser resurfacing, I am stuck with these. So I have tried every weird process and products to try and minimize the look of them. I have been fighting these bad boys since high school so I have years of experience on what works and what doesn't.
The one product I keep coming back to after all this time is always the Mario Badescu Silver Powder. This is the most effective product at clearing everything out and helping shrink the look of my pores. On top of that you can get a pretty decent size jar for only $12.00. I have tried so many high end and luxury products topping $100+ and this little sucker always comes out ahead.
It's super gentle and doesn't pull them out, like some peel off masks or nose strips. The results are also instant. We live in a face paced world so being able to see results immediately upon taking it off is so satisfying. The only downfall I will say is that the application is complicated and messy. Because of that I would always stop using it after a while because it was inconvenient and try to find a different holy grail product. Well lucky for you I have decided to ignore their instructions on how to apply it, and found a wayyyyyyy easier method that has me coming back to this as often as I should be using it.
The instructions say to wet a cotton ball, dip it into the powder, and press onto nose, chin, and congested areas. Well that was so messy, the coverage was never even, and there would be random powder balls that didn't turn into the paste... It was the worst. I now scoop out a tiny bit of product into the lid, add a few drops of water, mix it into the paste, and apply with a facial/fan/foundation brush to my face. Being able to paint it on gives me such better control and even application of it. It's always way cleaner and takes half the time. Once it dries you look crazy. Take a cotton pad/ball and wet it with toner/astringent and wipe it off your face. I say use toner but they say use astringent. The astringent will really help close your pores but it can also be incredibly drying to the face.
This is literally my secret weapon to having great skin. It's super effective, very affordable, and has instant results. What more could you ask for in a product? You can purchase it online from ulta HERE. Let me know what skincare questions or concerns you want me to cover next!
