Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit
For those asking which contour products I used in my Cream Contour Step By Step Tutorial article, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in the color Fair. This is one of the few kits with shades light enough to highlight on us pale girls! I wrote an article before Pale Girl's Guide To Contouring stating how are we supposed to highlight with concealer or products 2 shades lighter when we are already the lightest shade? Anastasia Beverly Hills knew this was an issue and yes that is a WHITE shade you see included in here.
I used powder to contour for the longest time, because there weren't cream options available to me. I used taupe colored eye shadows if I had to. The great thing about cream though it that it looks more natural and this product specifically is great for oilier skin types. So I hope that helps anyone who thought that it would be heavier on the face or the powder helps soak up any excess moisture/oil on the face.
This palette has very light and cool toned shades. The shade names are:
Fair - Pure sand
Fawn - Café latte
Lustre - Sheer porcelain
Mink - Toasted almond
Shadow - Caramel latte
Soft Light - Pale peach
I absolutely love this kit and can't imagine solely using powder contour ever again. With the cream kit I've been told I look better or that it looks like I'm wearing less makeup and less cakey. The main point of contouring is to still seem natural and not fully alter your face shape or features, just to play up or emphasize your favorite parts. This kit is only $40 for 6 big colors and I think that's a great price. I love using my oval brushes to apply and blend. People with somewhat drier skin wanting to use this product can apply a light dry oil to their brush or beauty blender to blend it out easier. It blends like an absolute dream.
